Fritz Box Cable: Read out / find out MAX CPE

The MAX_CPE value defines the number of IP addresses that are assigned to a connection in the cable network. This value is important if you want to activate the bridge mode or bridge port in the Fritz box Cable.

The MAX_CPU value cannot be found out directly via the WebUI. You have to export the support data.

Export Fritz box support data

How the support data can be exported depends on the version.

FRITZ!OS 7.50

  1. Click on “Help and Info” at the bottom left of the Fritzbox web interface and then on “FRITZ!Box Support” at the bottom.
  2. Click on the button “Save support data” -> “Extended support data” and on “Save support data”

FRITZ!OS 7.31 or older

  1. In the FRITZ!Box user interface, click on “Content” at the bottom left and then on “FRITZ!Box Support” at the bottom.
  2. Click on the button “Save support data” -> “Extended support data” and on “Save support data”

Once this data has been saved, we open it with the “Editor”, click on “Edit” -> “Search” and then search for “CPE”. The file with the search result should look like this:
